About/Contact
I'm a life-long resident of Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Growing up here, spending time just outside my backdoor, I'd be fascinated by all the little creatures that would pass through our family yard. Whether it was a possum climbing a tree, a great-horned owl hooting in the pitch pines in the evening hours, or a garter snake slithering around the foundations of my father's sheds, they fascinated me all. The shorelines of Dartmouth, where my father raked for hard-shelled saltwater clams, were a playground and a school of discovery for me. The marsh and their rivers felt like a second home. I wanted to take the creatures I found there home, read, and learn about them. Photography allowed me to observe, learn, and take a little back home without actually taking. I had initially gone to school to become a wildlife biologist with a special interest in marine mammals, but soon realized I didn't enjoy lab-work nearly as much as I did collecting data out in the field. My time alone with the other beings of this planet always made me feel less lonely. They still do. Maybe it's the awe I feel in their company. If one photographs what they love, then what I love is wildlife. When not with my camera, lenses, and blinds, I enjoy playing rhythmic guitar and singing, and spending time with my dog Nitotem. If for any reason you'd like to contact me, drop me a line.
